Sleeping in...

Well, I decided about 5:30 this morning that I would take the day off and run tomorrow morning. I have been up before 6 am every morning for the past 2 weeks, either running or with my son. So...I'll get the 10 in tomorrow. It did feel good to sleep in though and who would have thought that 7:30 am would be considered sleeping in?

Not the easiest thing I've ever done...

So I didn't really feel like running outside today, so I went to the T-RECS and did my 10 miles on the treadmill. It didn't seem that much cooler than running outside, because I was sweating at least as much as I usually do.

It was also the first time I've run with a shirt on in a while, so I forgot to use "protection." My nips are a bit sore.

Oh yeah, did the 10 in 1:34:14. Still on target.

1 Mile Repeats

Well, as planned I made it out to the marked one mile loop this morning. Although, 1/3 of the loop is a slight up and down, hmm...it felt good.

Mile 1 - 7:03

Mile 2 - 7:09

Mile 3 - 7:32

3 miles - 24:18

That is all.

Tempo on Tuesday!?!

I decided to do my tempo this morning instead of Thursday, since I got up a little late. I've got a one mile loop in mind for this week's speed work, but given my limited time, I decided to switch days. At any rate, I was pleased with my time:

3 miles - 24:31

Speedwork...on Monday???

Yep, that's right...I'm bumping my schedule up a day this week, so that I don't have to run next Saturday. We're planning on being in Atlanta.

Today's goal: 3 x 1 mile @ 7:36-7:44
Actual: 3 x 1 mile @
1) 7:00
2) 7:27
3) 7:32

I'm pretty sure the Forerunner cut the first mile a bit short, making my time seem faster. At the proper distance, that interval probably wasn't much different than the others.
I was fast overall, but the running wasn't uncomfortable. I was out there pretty early, and it hadn't heated up yet. I don't feel bad about going under the goal time today.

A most excellent thirteen...

13 miles in Alcoa on a Saturday morning at a 9:09 pace. That's 1:59:00 even.
Perhaps we shouldn't go out so fast, nor finish so fast, but we got it done, and we did it well.

I'm glad the temperature was a little bit cooler.
